Recommendations for the PondoVac 4 Sludge Vacuum

Pond size:
The pond size is not relevant. The sludge vacuum is NOT suitable for emptying (draining) the pond.

Suction height:
Included in delivery are 5 pipes, each 50cm long. When assembled, these have a total length of 2.50m. When working standing at the edge of the pond, this results in a suction depth of approx. 1.70m. The more suction pipes are used, the higher the pipe friction resistance. This reduces the suction power. At a suction depth of 1.70m, the suction power will therefore be very low. For work in these depths, the professional sludge vacuum is much more suitable.

Please note:
Place the PondoVac 4 slightly elevated. The discharge hose must have a slight gradient. The discharge opening must be above the water level of the pond. The discharge hose should not have any kinks or bends. The wastewater must be able to drain freely. Only then will the PondoVac 4 work correctly.

Maintenance:
The seals should be checked and cleaned before each use. Larger dirt particles can get jammed in the seals, thereby bringing the suction power to a standstill.
