Depending on the size, shape, and zones of a pond shell, different materials are used. While smaller models are usually made of polyethylene (PE), larger models are more often made of glass-reinforced plastic (GRP). GRP pond basins are significantly more robust. This material is primarily used for larger pond shells. These pond basins not only have a larger capacity but are also usually much deeper.
