Please note that we do not ship fish by mail. All fish must be collected from us in Oberweningen. We will pack the fish professionally for you and ensure sufficient oxygenation. This means that even longer transports can be handled without problems. Our staff will also be happy to advise you on transport and the correct introduction of the fish into your pond.

The European Sturgeon or Beluga Sturgeon (Huso huso) is the largest species of fish in the sturgeon family and is considered one of the largest bony fish. It is found in the Black and Caspian Seas and the adjacent large rivers.

The Beluga has traditionally been caught primarily for caviar production, but also as a food fish. Due to overfishing and the loss of suitable spawning grounds, the species is now considered endangered. The European Sturgeon can reach a length of 800 cm and a weight of over 2,000 kg and can live for over 100 years. The European Sturgeon or Beluga feeds almost exclusively on fish. Juvenile fish begin to eat fish at a body length of 3-4 cm.
